three card monte

Postby jonathon14 » Jun 21st, '06, 22:03

i ordered three card monte by michael skinner and it was great!!! it's got a good gimmick with red back bicycle cards(included) it was so easy to perform. when i took the cards out, i didnt have to read the instructions. if you get it you will learn it in minutes. no sleight of hand, no hard moves, its just simple. put the cards down and show it to them. easy!!! it costs £7.99 and its worth it!!! you can get it from www.magictricks.co.uk n go to the cards section!

There is of course the Great Daryl DVD that covers lots of monte effects with and without gimmicks. Well worth looking at as well. You learn all the moves and sleights.

Jonathon - thanks for reviewing this for us. Next time, give our Review Template a try too... it makes the whol thing a bit easier for you and helps your readers make a more informed decision. You'll find it at the top of the review forum.

For a gimmick-free monte routine, take a look at Color Monte - you'll find it at most online magic stores. People will swear blind that you have extra or gimmicked cards.

A classic.

3 card monte by michael skinner is superb!
have performed this so many times, but hate getting the odd smart ass in the crowd.
But this is an effect that i love to do, and can be seen on a bill malone dvd.
Will take a little practise but what doesn't!

Thanks for the review. Another good one of a similar style is Temptation by Gordon Bean.
