Good evenin' guys and gals. My name is Luke, I'm an aspiring magician. I'm 22 years old and from the States (boos and hisses welcome).
I consider magic to be a serious hobby of mine, but I have no plans to make it a career. Lately I've been dedicating a lot of time to cards in particular although my original interest was based in coins. I've read BoBo's book and learned one thing for sure, I don't learn well from books

Since I discovered my love for cards I've had a minor problem with C.U.P.S. I purchase mainly videos/DVD's that don't require gaff's. I've always thought that magic should remain mainly ungimmicked (I hope no one takes offense.)
So I began my card magic career with Born to Perform. Amazing DVD. To be honest, I've spent more time learning basic moves (DL, pinky break) than I have even attempting the tricks. I think the only semi-trick I've attempted from the DVD is the erdnase change which I've got down to a science (15 hours a week of practice time will do that to you

I've always thought color changes were amazing because of how visual and simple they are. Right now I'm working very very hard on the Bertram (the angles on the tenkai are killing me, I hope that isn't close to exposure).
haha, I hope that was a good enough intro. Sorry if it was a bit long. Thanks for reading, hopefully I'll be hanging out with you guys for awhile.
