signed card to sealed package?

Postby sauruman » Jun 26th, '06, 22:11

I saw a video on youtube where a dude whent through a pretty standard ambitious card routine and then finished by getting the signed card into a sealed packet while the whole deck was under the spec's hands. Anyone have any idea where that trick is from cause it's amazing!

I think this is covered in paul zenon's street magic book where the spectator takes a card remembers it and puts it back on top of the deck. A hanky is wrapped around the deck and a elastic band to top it off. The magician then puts the bundle in someones pocket and then reaches in and pulls out the selected card. Its a good effect

Martin Sanderson has a signed card into a sealed envelope routine on his Corporate Close-up DVD if you're interested.

The teaching is very good and it's a relatively easy set up, although I don't use it myself.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
