Although IMO they are both perfectly acceptable as ways to entertain an audience. I enjoy watching Derren Brown; I don't mind how he does what he does - whether the audience is prepared or not, whether there is video editing - as long as it is entertaining. Which it is.

David Blaine gets my vote, but I would only say I "dislike" and not "hate" him. It's his personality (or lack thereof) more than anything. Plus he's really just a publicity hound and does all those crazy media stunts for attention. It's not really magic in my opinion and some of his stunts I flat out find appalling.

I dont think david blaine wants to make people laugh, more like kill themselves, you see his shows and he is really down, and the stunts he does, makes you think hes got a screw loose thats my opinion anyway.

Thanks in Advance

People - well, magicians - knock David Blaine, but I don't really ever see the public complaining, do you?

Yeah...admittedly the British are a bit more adverse to his stunt side, doubt he'll be coming back here again to do one. But as a magician, for all his 'faults' I can't really knock him at all.
