Don't have it to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Ammars. All I can say is that Roth specialises in coin work and is very well respected for his contribution to the art. I think the teaching on his DVDs is superb.

I have things on order but no magic at the moment

Ok question for you... I recently got Sankeys gratest hits 3 DVD set and my boyfriend took one of the discs out of the DVD player today and said "this is a copy, the back is purple and there is a gap between the outside edge of the disk and bit of the disc that has info on it" Is it really a copy? Anyone got any ideas?

PS thanks for all the info on coin magic it is very much appreciated.

Probably, magic is rife with rip offs and scams, and guess who's the mark.
It could be that it is still legitimate, it really depends on the production quality applied to the DVD run. Because magic DVDs don't sell in huge amounts, I can imagine some manufacturers will just get printed DVD blanks and mass burn them. I haven't really checked my DVDs to see how they have been mastered.

If your really bothered drop Sankey an email, and tell him where you bought it from.

The thing that concerns me is I got it from an online store (begins with P if I am allowed to say that) The picture on the top also looks a bit naff! If I had got it off ebay then fair enough but this was a shop!

Currently waiting on:

3 volumes of Ibidem (damn hermetic press and their sales pitch)
Ross Bertrams Sleight of Hand
Latest copy of Genii

I just thank god that there hasn't been any recent additions to the NUMS product line.

To quote my pm to Mr Skutt after I won:

"By the way, Gerald would like to send his thanks as well... but he can't because he's only a figment of my twisted imagination and I've locked him away in a cupboard along with the flying hippopotamus's, roller skating Gnus, tapdancing gnomes and world peace. Felicity however is currently sitting in my pocket nursing one of her many squidlets and humming a happy tune in thanks..."

 I'll assume it was PenguinMagic. Okay I would complain to them first. There is a bit of history between them and Sankey, and everyone has their own opinion on it. The fact is, as a consumer your first port of call should be the retailer.
