Well, yes I agree but rather than just put a load of !!!! I would say it needs to be smoother and the "change" need a bit of practice but well done for having the guts for uploading and sharing it. Eveyone had to start some where. See Mini, a lot nicer and very much more helpfull. You didn't like it when we all commented badly on your glass eating so whay do it to others?

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

I don't think comments such as that help in the slightest. This forum is to assist people in becoming better magicians, exchanging tips and suggestions.

Leave constructive criticism, or don't post.

I will give you some criticism... :P

Its hard to say without exposure to the method, but try to make what you are doing with your left hand a lot less evident if you know what I mean. Try to make it look more as if you are doing a magical pass over the coins to mysteriously transport one over to the other side. As opposed to just placing the cards onto the table and removing them again.

Not bad for a beginner. Keep at it and good luck :D

...by the way, dont worry about the " practice, alot  " comment...you are a beginner and of course you have to practice. Hopefully you get more comments like mine to improve your magic, which im sure you will because thats what these forums are all about. Not putting people down and such. Many people here will help you out.

Welcome!

What's that saying about practicing and preaching, again........

As for the effect, it's a good start. As grum mentioned, focus more on relaxing and releasing that deaths' grip on the cards. Jerking your hands back is a tell-tale sign, a bad habit that should be dropped as early as you can. Also, as grum mentioned - it doesn't need to be an insantaneous travel. You can milk it for a second or two, tease it a bit, if you will.

Also, look into more classic handlings of this effect. You start with some coins already in the "landing zone", which can be a bit confusing.

This effect can be absolutely beautiful if handled smoothly. You're well on your way. Try looking into different handlings and performances to see all of the minute nuances and variations that are out there. Just by watching, you'll get a better sense of how to make your movements more fluid and less jarring.

Keep up the good work!

I think that for a regular audience that would be quite a striking and nice visual. Standard, classic Matrix (sort of), but it is always a good one. Remember as well that you can't misdirect a camera, it films everything and shows everything and so we see everything - so I think that it would go down a bit better in real-life performances.

But as you practise it more and become more adept at the basic coin sleights you will find that your handling will become a lot more natural.

Hey

This isn't a bad attempt at a first video; however there is a lot of room for improvement.

Firstly you need to SLOW DOWN, this is meant to be magic so you need to build suspense and 'tease the audience' more. Also when you cover the coins (on your left) you should act as if something 'magical' is happening - maybe try rubbing or 'waving' or pushing the card onto the coin. This movement will also help cover your sleights, and will justify the movements you were doing (which in this video would have no justification to the AUDIENCE). The movements will also act as misdirection as well, which i think is crucial for you at this stage, however the more you practice the smoother it will become thus meaning their is less need for misdirection.

Also like others have said do NOT take you hands away so quickly because that draws attention to the retreated cards and draws the audiences attention away from the 'impossible' coin transposition which has just occurred. :D

Lastly when you have the two cards at the end of the trick you should do a 'special move' (can't say here due to exposure- I will tell you the move over MSN Messenger) so you can show both cards clean at the end and then you can hand them out for inspection.

I'm not trying to put you down; I’m just giving you constructive criticism which will help you improve.

you got the basics down, if you work on the smoothness some more, and develop your own style in order to make it more mystical, it'll be pukka.
