Ace Magic Circle West Lancashire Magic Convention

OK, sorry this is a bit belated, but here goes...

Ticket price =£10 adult, £5 junior including free raffle ticket
(cheaper if bought in advance)

Date =23rd April

Place= St Mary's Parochial Club, Billinge (near Wigan)

A small event with a few dealers including DTRIK (Wayne Dobson), Illusiontech, Discount Magic and Merlins (Wakefield). Wayne's lecture was excellent but apart from that there was nothing really to do during the day. The dealers packed up around 4.30ish and the evening show didnt start until 7.30ish. (If i remember correctly).

The evening show featured 6 competitors (if i remember correctly) for the Lancashire Stage Magician of the Year award. Unfortunatly the first double act had a mishap with their sub trunk illusion but soldiered on (to their credit.) Wayne Dobson opened the show and Brian Sefton provided entertainment during the interval, but I was unable to stop that long to see it due to travelling time.

Overall = 7 out of 10
A nice, friendly meet but I'd have hoped for a few more lectures or guest speakers. A few more dealers would have been good too as there were less than a dozen if I remember right
