Depending on the type of TT you can modify it a little to avoid the popping when you remove it and also use the modification to produce a vanished silk from you finger tips. All you need to do (this only works with the soft tenyo type) is instead of drilling a hole in the end to let the air in, just get a moddeling knife or scalpal (same thing really) and make a cur around where the end of the nail is, this should stay closed and can when worn.
Also once you have made the silk vanish, with a little effort you can apply pressure to the TT opening the gap at the end and use this to produce silk from you finger tips, Voila.
When i first started using the TT i was consious of this great rubber thing which did make people nothice untill i started using the eyecontact misdirection and getting the spectator(s) to look where i wanted them to.
By looking the volunteer straight in the eye at the start of the trick while talking to them they wre conditioned to look at my face and not at my hands whenever spoken to, this took alot of practice and experementing with different people but it works now 98% of the time. [/quote]
