Ok...I just need some advice from some of you other fellow magicians. I have created an effect that is a "Signed card to sealed bag of chips". I know the method for it and can perform right now but not that great as I havent put that much time into the performance yet. Im wondering if it is worth perfecting and see what some magic dealers think about it.
It is really easy to do, only using a few somewhat basic sleights. Its not gimmicked and its pretty much impromptu. There is no force, no dupes.
EXPLINATION:
A card is freely selected, signed and returned to the deck. The deck is taken and placed on the bag of chips and rubbed by the magician on the bag as to dissolve the card through the bag. The magician cant seem to get it so the spectator is asked to take the deck because they might have more power to dissolve it, after all they did pick and sign the card. The magician then places his hand over the specs and the rubbing motion continues. Then the magician stops. He suddenly asks the spectator if he felt that. The spec says no and the magician then insists he felt the card dissolve through the bag. The spec obviously doesnt believe this so the magician tells him to look through the deck for his card. Suprisingly their card is no longer in the deck. The magician now takes the bag and opens it towards the spectator so he can see everything (the spec can even open it if he/she wants). A card is seen to just barely poking out of the chips and the rest of the card burried. The magician pulls out the card and sure enough it is the choosen and signed card!
(Sorry about that long explination. I kind of got into it. I apoligise.)
Its completly examinable before and after.
I guess my questions are:
1. Is there an effect like it? (dont get me wrong...im not trying to get you guys to do my research for me because I have done plenty of research...im just wondering if ive missed or overlooked something)...Ive seen the one one flashmagic but im under the impression that it is NOT a SIGNED card and its also gimmicked.
2. What do you guys think? Does it sound amazing? Is it worth further devoloping?
All comments and feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks
Nick
