Whilst working tables I've found that my hands can perspire pretty badly making handling cards a bit of a pain! Now heres something Ive used both to keep cards clean and make handling a bit easier!

My girlfriend is a nurse and whilst on shift she has to carry a small bottle of hand sanitiser gel! This is carried on an elasticated pull on a belt clip, a bit like the swipe till cards used in many bars. I think it is called "purell" or something but I'm pretty sure something similar will be readily available I'll look into it!

I asked her for a bottle of this and a belt clip and after finishing at a table a small squirt of this rubbed into the hands dries immediatly and I've found that cards, sponge balls ETC stay clean a lot longer! this may be common sense but I think it was the belt clip that attracted me so much as it is so convenient! and I've even used it as a makeshift "vanisher" on the hop!!

Another thing is , because of the alcohol content it is wise to moisturise your hands well after a long gig!

A quick Google has a brand called "Asseptgel" that has a reel in the UK.

Is this the stuff that feels really cool after using it? If so, I used it before on a Wales trip. Feels really nice!
