Buy Bobo's Modern Coin Magic. I think there's a section in there on it. Can't really say too much on an open forum.

Here's a few tricks you could try:

1. Make your signature smaller. A small banner is enough!

2. Why buy something if you have no knowledge of what to do with it?

3. Buy Bobo's Modern Coin Magic

4. Stop spending money on gaffs, fekes and self working stuff and study magic for a while. That way, you'll have a richer arsenal of knowledge and to some degree you won't need to waste money on one trick ponies to be able to give a performance. That's advice—not a criticism.

If you're referring to which page can you find the section on bite out of quarter in Bobo's book, then use the index and find the whole chapter on it.

It's not that hard to flick to the last pages of a book and scroll down a list until you see the word you want is it?

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Because frankly, it wasn't a question worth answering. I wrote a post on the forum a few days ago, which asked about the psychology of hitting the 'submit' button.

Please, read it. It would do you the power of good.

1. You might have changed it for a different (slightly) smaller one but it's STILL massive!
2. Yeah I suppose you can. Shame you don't live anywhere where they use quarters though. Just you trying switching that one for a real quarter.
3. Good. Now stop shouting. Alright? We don't need you coming in here saying DON'T TELL ME STUFF LIKE THIS COS I KNOW IT I NEED NEW STUFF LOLLZOMG etc etc.
4. I guess Ceaseral melting point must be real magic then if it's not a gimmick.

From what you've said this is NOT the first gimmick you've bought in 5 years. Either that or you've been partaking in a little five finger discount somewhere along the line (and if, as English isn't your first language, you don't understand that, I mean stealing)
Seige offered you some real advice, advice you've heard MORE than once on these boards I know.
You ask for advice, we give you advice. You tell us we're stupid and demand different advice. We give you different advice and it's either not good enough for you or you don't even take the 5 seconds it takes to type thank you to bother thanking us for helping you out.
Remember, TM is not a paying service. We're CHOOSING to help you out. We don't have to.

I strongly suggest you take Seige's advice and actually read something for once.
If you have Bobo's Modern Coin Magic, great. Learn some tricks, post some videos in file sharing.
Show people you're willing to learn and not trying to jump in at the deep end with being the next BIG THING in magic you'll get your much sought after respect.

Rant. Over.

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Dont buy gimmicks, buy something like Oz Pearlmans Born To Perform Card Magic. Learn tricks that dont use gimmicks. If you start showing off and doing quick easy self-working tricks like Sinful, Healed and Sealed and the like and you dont take time to learn some "real" tricks that dont use gimmicks or setups, you are going to be in a bit of a ditch when someone gives you a deck of cards and asks you to do a trick.

Geez, why all so cranky? Is there a point to this thread anymore? no? good then I'll go off topic.

"showing off and doing quick easy self-working tricks like Sinful"

was said above, but isn't Sinful just simple sleight of hand? Just because it's easy it doesnt really fall in the same catagory as coin-bite and healed and sealed gimmicks. Both of which I think people would figure out pretty quick or just dismiss as a gimmick.

Just my opinion. I

Asking what page something is in a book that you have is ridiculous. Do you think we all remember what pages everything is on? No, if someone was going to tell you the answer they would have to get their copy and look for it themselves for you. Geez, come on.

Anyway, you are always trying to create your own tricks, so why don't you just come up with something your self?

I know I don't really have much to add to this thread but I had to post because it annoyed me. Sorry.

Have a read of his other posts.

MiniMindFreak,

Please answer truthfully, without resorting to ranting or capitals.

Are you interested in magic, or are you a wind up merchant?

Do you know what manners are?

Do you think that you have the dedication to learn magic, when you can't even bother to look up an index in a book.

These are real questions, which I hope will make you think before starting another topic.

Make your signature smaller, it took a while for it too load. It is not needed.
There are many other tricks you can use the coin for. I myself don’t own bobos. I came up with some ideas.
