Mental Rewind

Postby Darth Psycrow » Jul 20th, '06, 05:29

Before I start, I completely understand if no-one wants to answer this question or is annoyed at me, as it maybe borderline to rule infringement. I apologise in advance if it does step over the line.

Now to the point.

Im learning a trick called "Mental Rewind". I'm fine upto the part where I have to fake shuffle the deck. Could anyone point me in the right direction, either by  telling me how to fake shuffle (sorry) , or suggesting a specific technique to me (this would be preferred). Knowledge of this trick would help in this question as due to the specifics of the trick some shuffles mybe... awkward if you know what I mean.

Thanks

Neil P.

False shuffle... I'm not entirely sure if this would fall under common knowledge or if it's still up to the keeping secrets rule.

Well while we're waiting to get some sort of mod approval/disapproval, why dont I ask what kind of false shuffle you're looking for? Do you want the entire deck to remain in the same order? Control the top stock? Bottom? Both? There are a ton of false shuffles, you have to be more specific.

There are many many different false shuffels.

and many many more, the names are escaping me. Pick up Royal Road To Card Magic, if you don't own it already, which it seems you don't.

Check out The Expert at the Card Table by S.W. Erdnase - it has got some valuable information on this sort of thing.
