I'm a student and was originally interested in magic when I was about 10-12 years old when I enjoyed doing self-working close up illusions. I've recently got back into it after meeting a couple of guys in a bar in Oxford who did some incredible things with beer bottles (no double-entendre intended!) and it caught my imagination. I've recently been diligently pacing up the Royal Road to Card Magic and am currently working on my Pass! Have also been buying some packet tricks from Davenports and having fun with those (am pleased to have finally sorted out my Ghost Count so now I can do Rainbow Cascade) - most recently I bought Dr. Jack's Four Blacks. I am also reading Techno Card Magic and working on Tilt and some other counts. I really look forward to chatting about stuff with you guys!

Welcome - and perfect choice of book RRTCM is the begginers 'Bible', but take your time over it and learn everything fully and in order.

Best of luck with your progress and you shall find a lot of useful infomation here aswell.

Also stick to the rules becuse quite a few new members havn't been abiding by them and this does make a lot of people angrey.

However you sound like an intelligent chap so i think you should fit right in
