Channel 4 are promising a 'Magic Month' in October and the relevant link is
http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/t ... agicmonth/.
It includes reference to Derren Brown but, sadly, also refers to the other geezer with the same initials. He of the coffin/ice/pole/plastic lunchbox 'fame'.

And a swift och aye the noo (sorry Mog & MoM!) for the two Scots Magicians who will be making their terrestrial debut. Gotta be good!

Hey!!!!
(Well maybe on christmas....Robert Burns.....) But any other time I'll have you know I stick to Scotlands other national drink-IRON BRU!
It's either that or buckfast which smells like toxic waste so god only knows what it tastes like!

believe me.... dont try buckfast... a viler tasting stuff was never invented! personally i think it should be banned as it would cut scotlands underage drinking by 98%.... hehe

I'm good friends with the owner of my local shop and last night he told me every thursday he has to stock up on Buckfast and Vodka as they are the most popular drinks with young people in our area. It's apparantly cool to be seen 'steamin' outside Del Boys on a Friday night. Don't know why, though. I'm not cool.

for some reason you missed the last two dates of the Derren Brown Tour.

12th Ipswich: Regent (01473 433100)
13th Leicester: De Montfort Hall (0116 233 3111)

Which as you can imagine were quite significant to me. Any way - I'm booked up now for the 12th :)

Hhhmmm. He's not doing anything on the 11th. I wonder if he would do a lecture...

Oooops! I guess that means I'm a dead man if I ever set foot over the Ipswich City limits! My defence, apart from the obvious insanity, is that I probably didn't copy accurately before pasting. Still, it means more mentions for DB - and Ipswich. Ta ever so!

From Magicweek again - except the one on ITV on Saturday at 5.30pm. They didn't mention it so I wonder if they know something we don't?!

2pm Saturday November 1st - Columbo Goes to the Guillotine (Rpt)
(2 hours) on Plus. Columbo delves into the world of magic, ESP and sleight of hand as he investigates the death of a magician. Look out for magicians Christopher Hart and Dan Birch. (Movie 1989)

4pm Saturday November 1st - Lance Burton Master Magician: Top Secret (Rpt)
(1 hour) on ITV2.

5.30pm Saturday November 1st - Best Ever Magic Tricks
(1 hour) on ITV. Philip Schofield presents a 'celebration' of the world's greatest illusions. Sadly, many of them sound like ones already shown recently on Greatest Tricks in The Universe Ever. Even more sadly, it includes footage of D.Blaine in his Plastic Box. Oh, well, at least it's not another revelations show!!

8pm Sunday November 2nd The Greatest Magic Tricks in the Universe… Ever (Show 6)
(1 hour) on Five. Boo-Hoo - last in the series!!!!!

For those of you with Sky or whatever, BBC3 are showing something connected with magic at 00.35am - that's very early tomorrow morning I think. Can't remember what it is but I left myself a reminder note and it's just appeared on the screen. Will have to set the video or join seige on one of his late night attempts at meeting a deadline.

Well, the timing was wrong as it was the programme afterwards at 1.05am and, although the words 'Magic' and 'Mystery' were in the title, it was mainly about the folks who live and work in entertainment in Las Vegas. Passed away the time nicely!
