Seems if you place the deck back inside the card case it never wants to rise without shaking the case dramatically. Another dispute is when just handling the deck normally and the card is about to rise, the card spouts up in an alomost unrealistically fast motion, sometimes the card even rises on an angle. Perhaps I just need to mess around a bit more, any suggestions?

if it's the rising deck I'm thinking about the fact that it rises on an angle can be quite a nice effect. my suggestion is to experiment with holding the pack in different places and with different pressure

This could be a grip problem, try to use finger pressure to control the speed and angle of the rise.
