Name: Dai Vernon Revaltations Volumes 5+6
From: J B Magic
Price: around £23
This is only one of the nine videos from Vernon's Revalations set, and each set contains 2 volumes.

In these volumes, Vernon is joined by Micheal Ammar, Steve Freeman and Gary Ouellet.

This video was first released in 1982 when Vernon would have been 88. This video has been very well though out, and is a must for any close-up magician.

Volume 5 Effects:

Fred Kaps Coin & Silk Routine(taught to him by vernon): In this effect Vernon tells us of how one night he and Kaps were taking magic after a show at the magic castle and he showed Kaps this routine and Kaps fell in love with it. Basically what happens here is a hanky is shown, and ne at a time a 3 coins are produced, vernon shows a few ways to make them appear, and then the coins are drop into the hanky, the hanky is then shook, and then the coins have completley vanished. He shows the hanky and his 2 hands to be empty. Then one at a time he reproduces each coin falling inside the hany, you even see them hit the bottom of the hank one at a time. He then drops the hanky to the table to shpw that the coins had returned. This is only the first effect and after this i felt it was already worth the money.

Dai Vernon's Cups and Balls Routine: Vernon and Ammar both go through the full of Vernons Cups and balls routine, which was the most amazing in the world, and then go through it with ou step by step, showing you how to do the Dai Vernon Wand Spin, and how to get the perfect mis-direction for your final loads. This routine is the one which made vernon so popular. It is one of the best known routines in the world, and here Vernon is teaching you it.

At the end of volume 5 vernon and freeman talk about a classic 'swindlers' routine with outting money in a purse and changing them into brass washers. Here a classic palm is used, one which vernon says he used a lot.
This is just a small routine, but it still looks amazing.

Volume 6 effects:

At the beginning of volume 6, the subject of card colour changing is brought up, and vernon and the others then show you a few ways to colour change the top card.

Volume six contain all of these card effects
The Erdnase Pivot Colour Change
Picking off the Pip
Side Slip
Handling the Sucker gag
'Softy' Colour Change
Slap Aces
The NO Palm colour change
The Time Vernon Cheated the cheats
The Greek Crimp
The Gamblers Peek
The Back Crimp
The Suit Peek
The Corner Crimp
Cutting to a Crimp
The Snap Crimp
How to reverse the pack
The Breather Crimp

All of these effects are card magic, and all look amazing. They are hard to expain in words but watching them performed, and then being showed how to do them is alot easier.
This is a must for any Close-Up/Card man, who is looking to learn classic amazing things with cards.

A lot of work must have gone into this video, as it is so well explained, showed, presented and the style of vernon just finishes it off.

This tape has a mans life time of magic on it, which has be changed time and time again, until it has now been made PERFECT. The routines all look stuning and Vernon also tells us of his experiance along the way.

This video is one of the best you can have in your collection. If you are a cups and balls enthousiast, or just looking for something great to spend your money on this has to be the thing for you.

This video gets a well deserved 10/10.

ps. as this is the first review i have done in a long time, i hope it is up to your expectations.

Thanx For Your Time
