Looking For Money Magic Advice

Postby KardAdict » Aug 3rd, '06, 18:32

I have been doing magic for a while now, and have mainly only done card magic (the file that I shared on this forum is terrible, can do beter stuff now). I have stopped using trick decks and stick to sleight of hand.

But I want to try and go into a different style of magic. Mabey give my bikes a rest. I was thinking, mabey coin magic. But the only experiance with coins that I have is "dinamic coins", which are good, but I'm looking for more inmpromtu stuff.

A bit low on money, but have a birthday coming up. So I was wondering if anyone could come up with any (relativly cheap) ideas. They could be an insrtuctional DVD/book, as long as its not any of those little brass tricks.

Thanks In Advance

Joe.

The book that i learnt from was Modern coin magic by BOBO, you may also want to look out for any David Roth DVDs. I would also suggest getting 4-8 USA half dollars from www.nothingupmysleeve.co.uk this makes learning some sleights and techniques easier.

If you wanted a good quality ready made coin trick then i can highly recommend "classic coin transposition" (also known as Copper / Silver / Brass). I have used this for years in my close-up act. Learn it in 10 minutes and it looks really good. Hope that Helps.

The coin through soda can trick on Criss Angel's first Mastermind DVD would be a good investment, as it can be done at almost any time. It's quite a short trick, but the reactions you can get from it are excellent.
