Do threads ever get deleted?

(i mean the ones that are not junk)

or are all the threads ever made just kept there

We only delete the rubbish or the offensive threads, all others are still accessible. This also includes threads going back to the Old Forum (pre April 2003) so the sum total of posts on TM is quite considerable. A few unacceptable threads have been moved out of the public area rather than deleted. It's possible to invoke a 'self pruning' function where threads are automatically deleted under certain conditions, such as no replies within a specfic time scale, but that feature has been turned off on TM.
