What is the best DVD / Book for cruise ship magic? I've used the search function and found a link to 1 DVD but is there any other great books / DVD's for simple stage magic for a cruise ship.

I don't understand how working on a cruise ship would require speciality reading/training. I guess if it's stage magic then there would be a limit on the amount/size of props and stuff.

The DVD gives you hints and tips on how to secure work, what to expect etc. Nice DVD.

The theatre size on most cruise ships seems to be as large as the average provincial theatre so no real limit on show size. Big problem would be packing and transporting all the gear, handling paperwork, customs entries, agent's fees etc - must be a nightmare!

Also a very hard area to get into, very competitive

i dont no about stage magic.

but if your good at cards, keep workin at it a learn as many casino card games as possible.

my uncle has a jobs on many cruise ship (fired from all for getting drunk one to many times) however. he was a dealer, and he had his own spec for 15 in minutes every night on one of the tables, and did a few card tricks, and coin tricks. he used to go rouond in the restuarants entertaining with card magic while they waited for their meal.

on average he made 200£ tips a night. some cases more, depending on the audience
