Yeah that's ok I didn't see anything, but it looks kind of unnatural don't you think? There is no need to suddenly turn your hand over like that. Try to incorporate the turn with maybe tapping the deck on the table to square it up or something. It looks like you can do the move ok, just work on making it look natural.

Id usually do this move smoother and slower, but it can be done quickly as a 'shake' or 'flick' of the deck to emphasise the card instantaneously jumping to the top of the deck.

That's not a turnover pass.

No, it isn't. It's a Hermann pass but it's not a turnover pass (so named because it's involves turning the deck over).
It's not the slightest bit smooth. It looks like you have a really bad spasm. OK, you can't see the action of the pass itself but what's a spectator going to think when they see you move like that?

Ouch, ok sorry about the naming. I wasn't sure what the move itself was called so I just called it by what I did really.

Thanks for the comments.

I think there's only one or two situations where I would use the hermann pass, the classic pass is just SO much cleaner.

If the deck is facing up (you can see the faces) I might use it while turning the deck over to put down on the table but that's about it. With a pass, you really need a justification for this kind of movement.

I also use it as a sort of "card-jumps-to-the-top" sort of thing, but again, the deck has to be faces-up so that it's more visual in order to excuse the motion.
