Does anybody know of an online magic shop in South Africa

Shipping is just a little expensive with international orders... or maybe a site that offers free international shipping

The college of magic's magic shop puts out a flyer every month - and you can order stuff from them. You can get them to post it to you, or you can just go and visit them (seeing as you stay in Cape Town ). The shop is also open after most magician's circle meetings. (check out http://www.collegeofmagic.com). There price on books is quite good, most of the time - but remember that they need to pay shipping too, as well as make a profit, so sometimes it's cheaper to get stuff from overseas - even with the shipping costs.

My suggestion is not to rush out and buy the latest effect on the market. Rather invest in a few good books, and then try and hang out with other magicians a bit (like the magicians circle )
