Cut And Restored Rope

Postby EckoZero » Aug 18th, '06, 01:08

It's not cards, it's not coins... so what is it?

Well it's sort of the cut and restored rope trick...

But watch it and see

Obviously this would work better on a stage, but hey. We all gotta start somewhere eh?

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Same problem here, just stops part way through. Macs can do that sometimes :x.

Sure looks like a good piece of magic, have to try again later. It'd be sweet if the sound cut out altogether when you cut the cord :D.

Shame. Thats why you need a PC :P

Dunno if you can see it on the video or not, but I actually carry on talking into the microphone after I cut the cord. It just can't be heard, because obviously, the mic isn't connected anymore

The bit I managed to see was really good. :D

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

Hehe, I think not :D.

Cool. Nice touch about the sound problems. I shall have to try again and watch it all the way through.

I must say that due to the beauty of owning a PC i was able to watch that all the way through and I found it thoroughly entertaining. Great little comedy routine there.

Nicely done, but I'm afraid Paul Zenon beat you to it Ecko!

That said, it does work surprisingly well on stage. I saw him at the Ealing Comedy Festival last year doing this, and he even touched the wires to complete the circuit, and we could hear him again.

He then restored the cable back to it's former glory, and continued with the gig.

It's definately worth doing on a crowd if you get the chance mate!

Great fun, and if I'm ever on stage I shall open my show with it :D
