I apologise if this has been asked before but i didnt notice anything at the top of the search list so here goes...

So what do you like carrying in your pocket for the 'unexpected impromptu magic' that you may be asked to do!

I usually carry....

A pack of cards
Jumping spots
A few coins (although, I'm not a great coinnoseiur - cant spell)
Sometimes, a TT

Golden Key is one favourite (where the teeth move around & down the shaft), mine looks like a normal house key (not the elaborate, fancy version) so doesn't look like a prop and seems really impromptu. Rarely fails to baffle and impress.

Other favourites... Blackboard (or Whiteboard) bat; Coin Unique; Pack of cards (of course!); Karate Coin (as that's my sport); TT... and many more... hard to choose really.

I've given up carrying around one of Seige's Monster Bertha's in my 'man bag' ever since I walked too close to a car on the way to the pub and got stuck to it with a loud 'THUNK'. Luckily there was nobody sat in it at the time!

If I'm not wearing cargos, a haunted key. It's my new favourite toy.

I also never leave home without a deck of Bikes, and as i spend a lot of time out in bars and clubs, i carry my cig through £1, that freaks people out (with a borrowed coin and a bobo switch), apart from that if I'm asked to do a trick i borrow a coin and a ring and perform various sleights with those. :D

I always carry a deck of bikes, Strange Travellers, coin unique and some velvet rope for Gregory Wilsons Ring Leader routine.
Mind you if I'm carrying my back pack I pretty much go out fully stocked with everything I have.

I've carried a bunch of forks with me a few times - it usually gets some interesting reactions when going through the metal detectors at some clubs.

Hmmm...depends whether I know I am going to be asked to do magic or not. If not then just a pack of cards, if yes then cards, 3 ring circus, and earplugs. Enough for 20 minutes of magic if I need to.

Well i think it was Paul Daniels that said "I only carry a pack of cards because thats the only item that people dont carry" or something like that.

i wouldn't expect to be able to borrow a TT from a random though!
if I'm going to a house party i will usually not take anything with me at all, unless its a dancey kind of party then i'll take my d'lites; so if someone asks to see some magic i can send them off to get a deck of cards (everyone has at least 4 at home!) and do it all with those, i just like the idea of doing it all with a borrowed deck, makes it somewhat more er... "believable" i guess is the word I'm after.
