Hi i am looking at the card college series and am wondering which volume has about the pass, and would you be able to tell me if it is in depth enough.

Thanks in advance

You'll find descriptions of the various passes split across volume 2 and volume 4. I have always found the descriptions and specific handlings in CC to be outstanding. I do however believe that it is one resource from a range that you should draw from. Some DVDs are useful, and you'll get a range of opinions from this forum on the various pass videos. However, I continue to believe that the best resource is to get advice and support directly from a fellow magician. Buy CC2 by all means, but join your local magic circle soon after.

Woo Card College :D

The pass is one of my favourite moves and IMHO one of the best descriptions around is in Card College volume 2 for a begginner.

If you followed CC it would take longer to have a usable pass than say if you learnt it from "on the pass" but with practice Giobbi's touches make it far easier to achieve a fantastic 'burnable' pass.

Cheers,

All moves are covered in depth in CC; that I think is what both of us are saying. But it does rather depend on what you mean by the pass. In volume two you get the classic pass and its covers. In volume 4 Roberto moves onto advanced/alternative passes like the turnover, spread, dribble and cover pass.

The pass has many variants; I would advise you start at the beginning and work on the classic pass from volume 2.

There are other cheaper books that you can buy that teach the pass and are much less expensive than card collage. That being said, Card Collage is probably the best way to go for leaning card magic.
