Could someone please do a review on this book? I've heard it's pretty good but I thought i'd ask all you fine magicians here for your opinions before I part with my money.

Whether you will appreciate this book or not depends to a large extent on your expectations and experience. This is NOT a book of "tricks" so if that's what you want, you'll be disappointed. Also, if you are not adept at audience management and "selling" a routine, you will not like this book at all.

The thrust of this book is encompassed in the title--it based on psychological forces that require confidence and a strong will to work, and subtleties that require confidence, nerve and "selling" to convince the audience. IMO, this book is not suited for a beginner and certainly is not for those who collect sleights and moves or who do not perform. Virtually anyone in these categories will likely be disappointed with the book. For those who already have experience in performing--say upper intermediate to advanced, and particularly to performing mentalists, this book is a gold mine.

Also be aware that, while chock full of information, it is a pretty small book.

That's about all I can say without actually getting into the workings of the items in the book, but I hope it helped you to make an informed decision.

I can only reiterate Scott's post...

This is more of a source of information than a book of mentalism effects and tricks. It's a cache of performance related info - which will help to round out your current skills.

Basically, as Scott says, it's something you may want to consider to give you an 'edge'.
