Well it's time for more Sankey from me. I'm not some mad Sankey nut, which is what you might think from my last few clips, it's just that Revolutionary Coin Magic is a great dvd and I haven't seen anyone else do owt off it yet.

As usual I know what I think needs improving, lets see what the eyes of the world have to say....

Your first transfer needs quite a bit of work. None of the movements you made would suggest the coin went from the left hand to the right hand. Your left hand is then REALLY fidgety, which is a dead giveaway. Throughout the routine, your hands look a bit cramped (something I am guilty of, as well).

Try to work on relaxing your hands a bit, and come up with a different transfer for the beginning and I think you'll have a strong effect on your hands. Nice work.

Demetri pretty much said it all, but it still looks quite cool :D

Maybe next time though, do it on a table or something, so the coins stand out more. 8)

Try to keep your fingers straiter. This will generate less suspision. Still a good job though.

That's interesting about my left hand. As soon as I checked back over the vid I noticed it looking suss straightaway, which is funny as most of the work goes on in the right hand and that's the one I was trying to make look natural.

The first transfer is a bit shoddy I agree, in fact I have trouble with most false transfers full stop. Jay teaches the effect using the Roth shuttle pass but I can't get it natural enough. The move I use in the video is one I've used a couple of times on real specs and it's gone over their heads so I thought it was ok, maybe I'll try something else.

As for my hands looking cramped I've got a slight excuse in that I have to use my phone to record stuff and I can't set it up at a good angle so most of my coin work gets recorded on the carpet. As a result I'm quite restricted with the way I kneel and hold my hands to keep them in shot. I'll see if I can set up some way of recording on a table where I can stand and see how it looks.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, it's been useful.

Keep sending in the Sankey stuff! I never get tired of it! This trick is probably one of my favorites. The transfer definitely needs work. The whole thing was kind of unnatural. I'll PM you with details.

Thanks,
Dominick

I thought you might chime up Dominick! Got the pm thanks. Maybe I should practice with smaller coins, the 10p pieces I used are about half the size of the half dollars Jay uses, but I'm just stubborn I suppose.
