Postby krazy ace » Aug 24th, '06, 13:09

If you ask at a US bank they may sell them although if they don't have them in stock you need to order a lot of them.

No, but they only account for 1% of US paper currency, so it's not surprising your cousin hasn't seen one. I lived over there for a year and never saw one either.

Hmmm... 1% = 1/100 so you should see a $2 bill for every 99 $1 - then again, they do tend to be hoarded. We have one somewhere :)

The distribution of bills isn't even across denominations, so I'm not sure that holds, Kati.

As a neighbour of the US, I didn't even know there WAS a US 2-dollar bill!!

We had one but a while ago it was replaced by a 2-dollar coin. :x causes you to have $15 of "pocket change"!

My girlfriend works for a bank so i figured she'd be the best person to ask. And she doesnt know if they have any so shes getting back to me later! She is getting me some dollar and half dollar coins though to help with my coin stuff!

Canada used to use two dollar bills, but we don't anymore. You might want to try looking at some Canadian coin/money site. But I wouldn't recomend using two dollar bills. If people can't recognise it, they will think it is a trick bill

Bring back the ten bob note!

Mind you, you try to tell kids today that before 1971 the UK used to have 12 pennies to a 5p and they look at you funny...

We used to have a really weird coinage system, pre-decimalisation:
