I know most meatheds. ex. King levitation, Criss Angel levitation, Elevator levitation...

Ok... I'll be kind... but what you're talking about aren't even "levitations" in the world I came from, they are party gags.

What do you know ago the Aga or Asrah or the many variations of each?

What's the difference between a Suer X vs. a Gwynn suspension?

Please be very careful about your claims my young friend, there are those in this forum that really do know most of the methods allied with certain effects as well as those that help design the stuff yet in publication

An AGA Levitation is the most common principle used in theater style magic shows; the original bit of a girl moving up and down with the old hoop pass. The ASRAH allows the girl to raise about ten feet into the air whilst covered and at the flick of a wrist, the cloth is removed and she is gone!

Start with a trip to Hades Publications out of Canada and get yourself a copy of the Sharp's Encyclopedia of Levitations & Suspensions, that will get you moving down the right path of knowing about such things. Believe me, there's a heck of a lot more to it than you'll see in that rather thick compilation... in fact, you would be doing yourself a big favor in getting all of the Sharp's books if the world of big illusion sparks your interests. You'll also want to look at the Paul Osborne Illusion Plan books as well as those by Stienmeyer, Rand Woodberry, and many, many others...

If you have the criss angel gimmick then it is very practical and not so angle sensitive

it's the best

Craig, I don't think you stressed out that those methods are for stage conditions, and cost a lot of money to build, not the best thing to suggest for a guy starting out with illusions.

Yeah. After looking a few of thouse up, I found that out pretty quickly. There is a new levitation that I've heard of, it is called the X Levitation and it looks amazing. It uses a gimmick though. I will try to find a link to it.

It's so good they had to pull the UTube link...

A 5 Ft. Levi for $100.00 is certainly something I'd love to see... most that go up that high start in around $2,500.00 and go waaaaay up from there.
