Hello World

I'm looking for some keyring effects - that is, something that can fit on a keyring and be used for magic tricks...

Haunted Key would be the obvious choice but I'm no mentalist so I don't think I could pull it off. And the various Ring Flite options seem way too expensive to me.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I think you should get this. Haunted Key has such an astonishingly strong effect on its own that you can just pull it off your key ring, perform it and hand it out without any patter whatsoever. I found it was a good idea to find my own handling but it only took about half an hour to perfect. I like to present it as PK after Jumping Matches, and involve my other hand as the "effector" by deliberately pausing the turning process at the top with a raised finger before going on to push it over "wiz my mind"

I'd say Haunted Key also Kati. I don't own the Haunted Key, but I can do the effect with a large key off my keyring just as well.

I must agree, i have haunted key attached to my keyring. I still use that after all those years

And why not put it all on a Keyed Up keyring?

There was also a thing by Yedid which involves removing the head of a key from the key and then putting it back on and handing it out for examination. The name escapes me at the moment though.

I'd recommend the haunted key too.
I also don't consider myself to be a mentalist, but there's a great routine complete with patter etc here courtesy of EckoZero.

I carry mine around all the time on my keyring, so I'm always prepared for an impromptu trick along the lines of, "here, let me show you an unusual piece of magic with my shed key".

I saw bite off a key somewhere (probably something like the bite off a coin)
Also something where the "teeth" of the key change. Just run the word "key" on online magic shops.

If you want something with the key ring itself you got Sankey's "3 Ring Circus".

Also, and that's just a thought that crossed my mind now, you can go to one of the places where they make key rings with little pictures attached to them (you can find one probably at any mall), give them a picture of some card to make the key ring with, and then you just force that card and have it appear on your key chain.
