If you need enough time to screw the lid back on, try wrapping the sweeties in a bit of loo roll. That should give you the precious seconds you need to avoid getting splurged.

I can just imagine someone dropping mentos into a bottle of diet coke and then fumbling with the lid "I need more time!.... oh no!" BANG! someone should try this in a public place

If you have an open bottle of beer and knock the bottom of another bottle down on the open mouth, the beer froths up too. Not very exciting, just annoying when someone thinks it's funny. Even more annoying when the person with the frothing beer tries to put his thumb over the top to prevent any loss.

Ah yes. Discovered this little gem a few years back.
Cue the drinkng game that goes with!

Open bottle of beer -> Bring ashtray down sharply on the top -> Hold bottle to mouth -> Drink all frothing beer -> Repeat until drunk
