are u just wanting 1 trick? coz if you are you might want to rethink your strategy i'd rather have a few routines instead of loads of switches and different gimmicks

Sankey's No Card Tricks.

Wilson's On the Spot.

There's a start :)

i think my black and white surprise was from davenports.
great choice, a lovely effect

as for no card tricks, a few off the bat...
floating cigarette. (fearson)
sucker torn and restored napkin (mark wilson)
coin production (from card if can bear to use 2 cards)
coins across (whichever method, i love harris' pdq#2)
rubber bands (so many to choose from)
sinful (wayne houchin)
If you can afford them, any of the art of astonishment series will give you a fair few non cardclose up routines although there are a lot of card tricks in there.

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh

Are you after a book or a DVD with tricks on (no card tricks of course  ) or are you after individual tricks such as haunted key for example ??

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

anything really, not a fussy man, i say no card tricks as have a full arsenal of them  i have heard great things about the paul harris books, but has to be said i waqs a little upset with reality twister trick which he realised imho it fails to have the magical punch. i did symbologic at work today and it is a killer effect. but thanks again everyone for your advice, was just wondering what your thoughts are on anything besides cards as when i do magic people ask me if i can do anything besides card tricks and then would do the self tying shoelace. lovely effect.

I have to say that in terms of strength to price ratio, the haunted key is very good for the price.

saw paul zennon perform this and it was special, excellent performer in my eyes, he is so funny and he selects his material very well. was just looking at magicap, a pen effect where the lid vanishes to different places. looks quite cool.

here's a few

Postby mrrocks » Sep 4th, '06, 17:58

-Tom Mullica Impromptu Magic Made Easy
- Greg Wilson Off The Cuff
- Henry Evans Something More Than An Illusion vols. 1-3 (some Card tricks BUT GOOD ONES)
- Michael Ammar (Just about everything from him) Topit Tapes, Money Miracles, Cups and Balls, The Magic of Michael Ammar(BOOK)
- Carl Cloutier World Class Magic, Third Hand Magic, Lecture Series
- TABELL COURSE IN MAGIC 1000's of tricks

I agree that you need much more than card tricks to be entertaining. I would suggest throwing a little mentalism in, and there is plenty of it in the titles above.

Well, you could use coins.. I deffinatly would recomend Bobo's Modern Coin Magic. Coins are great because you can always borrow one from a spec!

In the US, most coin magic is done with half-dollars, a coin that is not common and would almost never be available from a spectator. Which coin is usually used in coin magic in the UK?
