it would depend on wether they were entirely your creation or if they were someone elses

I very much doubt it because anybody could say that they own the trick. If it is a tutorial for somehting like riffle shuffling, cutting, rolling a coin on fingers or something very basic like that then it should be okay.

thats what i ment because i haven't see any arround and it is easyer to have a tutorial rather than trying to explain a slieght in the hints and tips section.

I agree with Delude, as long as the tutorial does note teach a sleight or any move that is supposed to be secret then I don't see the harm. If you post videos teaching (let's just say) a d/l then I think there would be cause for concern. Flourishes should be fair game as they are performed openly and not the secret to any effect.

There is a forum in the private section where you are allowed to post tutorial video. "Tutorial File Sharing".

Sorry guys, as we explain in one of the introduction posts/stickies, we aren't a teaching site - there have been some explanatory videos in the past but the potential problems of sorting out whether something is secret or not would be daunting to say the least.

We've had heated discussions over whether flourishes are magic or not before now and there seems to be a truce rather than a resolution of the 'discussion'. Demo/tutorial videos are best left to individuals to deal with rather than be posted on a magic discussion forum.

True but it hasn't been used since May this year and there aren't many items in that section anyway.

not everyone in the section is an advanced magician though. Some are relatively new to magic so it helps them a lot but since its in the restricted section then people surfing the net looking for exposure sites cant get at it.
