the one and only trick by paul harris

hi magic folk, does anyone have this effect it sounds good. an ID is handed out and the usual business goes on and you get the unmagic people to eliminate all but one card, then you ask what card it is and the free selection is in an envelope sitting on a table in view the hole time. it sounds amazing does any agree.

There were some comments on this a while back now but I can't find the link so I'll repeat what I said then...I wasn't a big fan of it. The idea is neat, that's for sure, and maybe it was my gaff that was a bit dodgy, but it was falling apart and coming unstuck so I wasn't best pleased. But if you can get it to work for you it'd be an excellent little piece.

 I forgot I owned this lol - I just read your description and thought, "Hmm .... hang on a minute - that sounds familiar". I then proceeded to rummage through my "magic drawer" and I found it heh heh

I'm trying to steer away from gimmicks so I haven't used this in a while but from what I remember there are pluses and minuses with this trick

For starters I had the same problem as Cardza - my gaff started falling apart and coming unstuck.

When it comes to the reveal of the card in the envelope - the envelope cannot be handed out, although you can cleanly show that there is only 1 card and this matches their selection. There is no switching of envelopes - it stays in full view the whole time

I've gotta admit that this is not for everyone. It is, however, quite an ingenious lil' trick and if presented correctly will be very powerful.

Any questions - feel free to PM me 8)

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

sounds like a bit of bother, may just stick to the ordinary ID routine as it is a classic! i love bill malones version of the invisible card, very funny :)

I'm a big fan of paul harris, but to put it bluntly, I think this effect is a waste of money. The gimmick just doesn't work, and just doesn't look right to me.
You would be much better off saving your money, and buying the art of astonishment by paul harris.
