Halloween

Postby Mandrake » Sep 11th, '06, 15:46

As Flashy has reminded us in http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/sutra118150. ... ht=#118150, Halloween is fast approaching and I see that shops have displays of Black and Orange stuff already. Are any of you guys booked for a Halloween gig or planning on doing anything special? (OK, I know the idea of Halloween isn't for everyone but I'm just interested in what folks are doing rather than a discussion on the ethics of the event).

i imagine i will be doing the goths ball or something. i will be doing torn and restored effects with paper doves, blood writing, and anything else just using a tarot deck.
also, just add blood to any effect, mercury fold and produce from the mouth, and bite down on a blood capsule at the same time, good one for halloween.

I'm working on a floating candle bit that'll go down quite well on halloween i imagine

Custom R&S decks made to specification - PM me for details

i've got a midnight booking round a friends house...

im currently testing out my nice clean white sheet that will spirit-write a message once i've spilt a little blood on it...

it'll be full of tarot (stacked thanks to that book Geist), mind reading, smoke and some psychological mayhem (hopefully)...

oh and having my cutthroat razor spin round on the floor, point at someone then start bleeding by itself, spilling out over the aformentioned white cloth and reveals their name...

might even use something from Band of the Hand too...not "the one"...but something...having a think now...

im also trying to suss out if i can rig up my fake japanese chest with some slim speakers and play my tiny mp3 player through it for spiritual voices and murmurings...

EDIT: i shall also be using for the first time (properly) my ten minute victorian-occult story wot i wrote, which incorporates some slate-writing and PK Touches...

Lsat year (or the year before!) ASDA sold a CD of spooky echoing wailings and other graveyard noises. It was quite good and if they do it again this year it's worth the money for the background effects.

He'll probably say the same as the last 79 years, ' Don't eat yellow snow'. Crikey - I just realised it was 80 years ago this year that he died!
(No, Stephen, Simon and everyone else, I was't around to read it in the newspapers at the time  !)

he will probably say "can you ask me again in half an hour, im a bit tied up at the moment..."

ouch...sorry

hmmm, got me thinking though, there's a great card effect in Seventh Heaven by Lewis Jones called Houdini's Hand...might tie that in with a little spirit slate thing..
