I've been following the board for some time and finally registered a couple of weeks ago and I've only just found the time to introduce myself.
Into Magic for about 25 years, got made redundant 6 years ago and couldn't get a job so turned pro.its been tough but I'm still here. The main problem for me over the years has been that there is no club/Soc in the locality so I've grown up in magic on my own. Good in that there's little competition, bad in that there's no feeedback, advice etc.
However, I hope I shall be able to make an occasional constructive comment.

I like the idea of jumping in at the deep end. Once the water's over your head it doesn't matter how deep it is

Thats very true, but needs must . I still cringe at some of the early paid shows. The idea that people were paying good money for this and not just giving me a couple of bottles of wine was a bit scary.

What a relief, a fellow 56 year old with no idea how to post videos on here!!

I have a 6 year old grandson who could do it I suspect but it is way beyond me.

Welcome to TM.

Well, like they say in stand-up comedy, you have to learn now to die before you can live.
