Review
Okay so the concept of this trick is wonderful. Think of a card and hey bistro it rises up from the deck. Great!
I own the more ordinary sounding Rising Card trick which doesn't sound as impressive as THOUGHT OF rising card but the method used it clever, well made and well worth the money. There is also room for different handlings of that effect.
So on opening the Thought of rising card from it's plastic wrapping my first 'Thought' was extreme let down. No beautifully made method just something very simple....But simple is good surely you may ask....well yes but not simply cheap.
Basically I dislike this effect a great deal. I really do think that this is personal and may well be meat to my poison but the instructions are lacklustre and I feel there is a huge flaw in the method which I can't go into for obvious reasons. This is not a trick to treasure and to keep on you but really is one for the back of the disappointment drawer. There is no room as I see it for multiple handlings and there is no real repeat factor.
The idea behind it is, as I said, a delicious one but I'm pretty sure that a MUCH better way of going about it is not out of the question.
Overall
Sorry, there are much better ways to spend £17. I'm not keen on just slating something but the fact is, since I bought this trick, I've never used it. Mark Mason does produce some great effects but this one hasn't had enough THOUGHT put in.
