Lets see...
Well, first, you could look into the "review" section or use the "search" function to find an answer to what you are looking for. But you are a beginner so I won't make a whole thing out of it, I only got love!
Ok, next, both of those trick imply sleight of hand wich, I suppose, if learned by a total newcomer, would take about an intense hour or a relax day to master. They are both well explained in the video and are easy to understand. Thus, the power of those illusion is also based on their performance. You have to acquire some confidence and social skills to convince people that what you just performed is a pure miracle, avoiding to let them think "Oh well, he just put a quarter in a can... what's on tv?!"

But mostly, I highly suggest to land your hands on a great bool that will teach you the basis of magic, thus teaching you hundreds (yes!) of trick for extremely cheap and leaving you with a handfull of knowledge. Books are rather cheap (Bobo's modern coin magic cost about half the price of Sinful!!) and they are really helpful. Sure it is harde to read and spend some hard time practising sleights, but it IS worthfull!
Good luck!

I agree with Durto, here. If you're new and looking at getting into magic, you'll probabaly better off getting yourself a decent book. I'm a huge fan of Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. Contains some brilliant explainations and great effects for less than either of those two individual effects cost.

But to answer your question, yes both those effects are very easy to perform but do take some practice to perform well.

yes it is always better to know some basic sleights before purchasing other tricks. it makes it much easier for you to learn the method and maybe combine the trick with your other routines for greater effects. books are good, but i personally prefer dvd as im not one who likes to read alot, but i do have books. this shows how important books are :P both tricks are easy but you would need some practise. no tricks you can perform perfectly without practise. basically if you are ready to devote your time and money and interest into magic den by all means go for what you want.. here we are only helping you by providing you with advice :D
