False Envelopes

Postby Johnny Bravo » Sep 21st, '06, 21:05

Does anyone know where I can buy or learn how to make (if I must) some false envelopes. I want something along the lines of pay packet size but I don't want different ends to choose from.

I have some like these I bought from somewhere but I really want to be able to take the card from the obvious opening of the envelope & to be able to show the inside of the envelope empty.

Any links anyone? Cheers.

What's the effect that you;re trying to do - is it signed card to sealed envelope or along those lines?

No, just for various outs or options in displaying selected card for the most, particularly thinking along the lines of an ESP routine I do regularly...

So don't need easy access to the envelopes as they'll be preloaded.

Try Sean Fields' book "X-Rated" - there is an excellent one in there which I think is the kind you are after.

Thanks for that Cardza but I don't really want to pay out £20 for a book to find out how to make 'em, I'd rather just pay for some made up. Cos the craftman ship is bound to be better than mine!

Guess I'll just have to go magic hunting but this just gets soooo expensive as I spot this, that & the other :P

i don't think you'll find them pre-made (never seen them anyway) - Ted Leley's book has some, as mentioned X-rated, and the Boris Pocus dvd has a version too...all highly recommended...

they're all well worth the twenty notes, afterall, you dont just get the envelopes do you...

You might want to check out Meir Yedid's Piatt Envelopes. You get two different kinds of envelopes and they're not at all expensive.

Any chance you have Jay Sankey's Boris Pocus DVD? If so, there's an explanation for making the envelopes you're looking for.

Yes have Boris Pocus, don't recall envelopes on this but will go back & have a look.

By the by I think I might have found what I want in a different kinda way with Stephen Tuckers Wowallet. Ordered it yesterday, soon as it arrives I'll do a review on it.

False Envelopes

Postby Allen Tipton » Oct 1st, '06, 12:04

:) Mark Leveridge put out a complete book/booklet detailing some very clever 'false envelopes'. There MAY be even dvd on it from him. But remember Books are Best.

 If you haven't caught on, most of these critters are things you need to make yourself. I tend to use (as an example) the Lesley TELEPORT envelope idea a fair deal of the time and am presently considering an idea Allen Zingg shares in his new Master Billet videos. You might also look into some of the things Alain Nu sells in that I believe he is carrying some of the old Piatt products, which include a could of very clever gaffed envelopes. Including a very, very cool Z-envelope (think Himber Wallet) that will let you get away with all sorts of things.

There is also the nice Annemann envelope for publicity stunts. I use it regularly for a predicted book choice.

http://www.trickshop.com are selling a nice download called ENvision, which allows a close-up design duplication effect. I made it up tonight and it seems pretty cool.
