I disagree and perhaps others will too.

The fact is that you're devaluing someone elses hard work by ot paying the asking price for it. If you don't each want to pay then don't use it.

Yes - I know that this is widespread in the open market but then those who are doing it, don't usually come onto a magicians forum, openly admit to what they are doing whilst asking for advice about the effect that they are not paying their dues on.

If you read an earlier post by Criag Browning on how 'theft' of his and others material is affecting those who create, then perhaps you may think twice about your actions.

If we as magicians bite the hand of those who feed us, then sooner or later we will stop being fed!

People don't say it because it affects them directly they say it because ethically it is the right thing to do. You should respect the creator who is giving you this material to perform. Without them where would you be?

That's VERY true and my point but then coming online and asking for tips is taking it a little too far.

I've made the decision not to answer this question. Just buy two. Because there's always the possibility it will only work for one...But maybe it will work for two...WHO KNOWS?!
