Hi everyone,

I was checking out this site for reviews and it seems like a good place to get advice before buying tricks so I thought I'd sign up.

So, I'm 25 yrs old, I've been doing magic for about 5 years now and perform in comedy clubs in Newcastle Upon Tyne, I also do weddings and birthday parties but I dont do kids shows.
I've included an attachment which is a poster a friend of mine designed for me but I decided to alter it and it is now my business card.

I specialise in cards mainly but I wont shy away from any form of magic cos I love it all.

Thats all for now

Thanks for looking

hey there

welcome!
I'm new myself.. ;) but that doesn't keep me from saying welcome :)

So how did you get yourself in to the whole comedy club performances..?
just met the right person at the right time? or did you really fight your way up to get yourself a spot of there?
and do you have any videos on the internet of your performances? that would be great to see :)

I've been doing card magic for a month now.. so im just starting to learn, and being amazed of the variaty of card tricks and sleights..

Hi Henk,

Welcome to this site too.

I was friends with some comedians before I started so that helped but I'm far from established with the comedy circuit up to now.
I'm hopefully getting a chance to audition at the glasgow jongleurs soon so that will make a huge difference if I get in with them.

Unfortunately I dont have any videos on the web as of yet but I plan on uploading some soon onto www.magicvideodepot.com check that site out its really good.

Have you done any performances yet?
If so how did it go?

btw I see you live in the netherlands my sister lives in leiden.

Well done for crossing the first performance boundary and also for not shying away after it went wrong the first time.

Unfortunatly that wont be the last time it goes horribly wrong but you will learn something new each time it does go wrong.
The best advice I can give you is to show as any people as possible in as many different settings as possible.
I was out drinking with friends last night and I was entertaining people in the pub with my cards and enjoying myself thoroughly oh yes and I got one wrong lol (daniel garcia's torn) I had the signature the wrong way round.

Just keep practising and show your tricks to anyone who will watch and before you know it you'll be doing them flawlessly everytime... eh erm just like me lol.

thanks for the advice!

that other day, when it went horribly wrong..
I did my ambitious card routine.. and the card ended up second on the deck..
It felt like I really screwed up, but when they saw it was in second place, they were still very much impressed.. so I didnt sigh at all saying ( aah man, that wasnt supossed to happen).. but I stayed in character.. and just went with it...
saying that even a ambitious card sometimes gets tired.. (so I put the card with a shuffle to the bottom of the deck) and said.. that people something need a shoulder pat.. or shoulder rubbing.. saying its all good.. you'll make it..
and I told them that the ambitious card has the some troubles that we humans have..
So I rubbed the ambitious card, doing a color change.. and it was GONE!
after a little shuffle it was back on top..

and the ambitious card was ambitious again :P
and the people were astonished :D

Welcome Flash!
Greetings from Iceland :)

I've been to MEA House in Newcastle Upon Tyne, but that was years ago. Nice town!
I love the initials of the town: NUT :P

Offices of CISV are there and that's where I went.
MEA House is a big building with lots of offices.
But now the word is out, that you escaped treatment...
