Okay, we've all got drawers full of tricks we're never gonna use but wont get rid of them just in case.
We all spend far too much buying new stuff that never gets used in our acts but every now and then we come across a trick that is a diamond.

What are your 'diamond' tricks????

1. Sam The Bellhop
This one always gets a fab reaction and a huge round of applause and with the comedy bits in the story and a few little extras i've added myself this has gotta be my number one.

2. Ambitious card.
Everyone has got a routine that they call the ambitious card but every magician has a completely different routine which is quite rare.
You could do this for people who dont speak your language and they would still understand what is happening, a great trick.

3. Daniel Garcia's - Torn
I spent 3 years looking for a good torn and restored trick and by the time I seen this I hesitated to buy it, but I was glad I did.
I like to tag this onto the end of my ambitious card routine and use the same card so just when they think the trick has ended they get this as a bonus and what a bonus it is.

4. Chop Cup combined with bill in lemon or kiwi
I like to have a spectators signed card appear in the lemon after doing a chop cup routine which goes with my card set very nicely.

5. Watch steal
Okay I admit it, I've only just learned how to steal a leatherband watch but never the less I'm loving it and so does my audience.

I could go on and on but they are my top five at least today they are.

I'd be interested to hear what other peoples 'diamond' tricks are.

1) Singed card to wallet

2) Foam ball work is always fun

3) ID is always a winner

4) Immaculate connection (Linking card routine - no gaff)

Oooooh Immaculate connection sounds interesting, I'll have a browse of the net for that one methinks.

ID is the only gaffed deck I use cos its just too good to not, It freaks people out.
I had this guy following me round for ages at new year convinced I could read minds.

When you say foam ball are you reffering to sponge balls?
I've just learned to steal watches and I use sponge balls as my cover, works a treat.

Can I point out that pretty much every 'list your favourite....' topic already has a thread dedicated to it somewhere on TM, and that a quick search (either using th built in search function, or, as some prefer, Google) would find them.

Also, please could I remind people to read the sticky at the top of the Magicians talk section which clearly defines how it should be used?

Thanks.

[edit; sorry if I sound tetchy, I've just had a stressful couple of hours with a room full of young teenage boys, and that's guaranteed to get anyone on edge]
