Street Magic Question

Postby GooGooDolls » Sep 27th, '06, 22:10

Just wondering because I am going back to performing and will be performing on the street. I was wondering do you need a license to perform on the street in public for people? Also what kind of dress do alot of performers here wear on the street? Do you wear just a little topper notch clothes or do most of you wear a white shirt and a tie?

You need a lisence to like set up and stick a hat out for money, yes. If you're just wandering aorund performing magic in differnt places and somebody offers you money then you can accept it.

how would you go by and get one? What companys would you have to talk to get it in place and so forth? Or would you have to talk to the local shops at where you are performing to get it okay? Thanks for responding.

I would guess that you would either have to talk to the shops in the area that you would be performing in, or the council.

As for what to wear, as its street magic i'd just wear what you normally wear! If i did that type of thing (which i'd like to but never have by the way!) i'd like to keep my own style going for the entire performance, from my magic style to my clothing style!

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

There are a number of posts already addressing this questiojn (sorry but I can't find them using the search  )

May be worthwhile looking a little longer than I could

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
