coin in bottle

Postby screamdudeguy » Sep 25th, '06, 22:57

Hey everyone, I have been into magic for a few years now and love doing it! I just recently invented my own coin in bottle trick, you start with a water bottle and a quarter and you hit the quarter against the bottle and it magicly goes through the bottle. You give the spectator the bottle with the coin, and they check it, its clean. The quarter is even too big to fit through the opening on the top of the bottle and the cap was on the whole time. There is no slits in the bottle and the person can keep the bottle and check it till there hearts contain. Its really in there and the only way to get it out is by cutting it out. Would anyone here no of any sites that might be willing to buy this amazing trick from me? Also, as far as I know, there are not any tricks out there that work the same way as this effect.

Unlikely you'll get many offers - there has been a deluge of such effects recently. If you it is different from the classic handling then you'll need to add something new to the mix to make it worthwhile selling.

I did mix it up, it is in the bottle but there is no way it could be in there since theres now holes or slips anywhere on the bottle and it won't fit through the top of the button, it looks like its imposible to get it in there.

Just one questions - does it use a gimmicked coin?
I'm afraid I can't really offer any suggestions on dealers or anything, but I would suggest asking your local magic shop (if you have one) if they would mind stocking a book or something about it for you for a bit, and you can see how it goes there.

I'd suggest getting out there and showing people. Make a video and put it on the file sharing part of this site and others. If you get enough people saying 'whoa that there's a cool trick, I'll give you a tenner for it', then you know you're onto a winner.

Get enough interest in it and word will get around.
