eating razors

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

...and back to an un-serious note, why not just sue Jamie Oliver anyway? It would be recreational, and a service to mankind.

In all fairness though, I think that if carrots were in fact flat, sharp and had a hole in the middle, it certainly conjours up a funny image of Mandrake shaving with a pointy, soiled orange vegetable.

Perhaps that's why his avatar's beard is so long?

Anyway, going back to an almost-serious note, could the same effect not be done with something non-dangerous - like scorpions?

I like the one with the needles, but I suppose you could sticka scorpion on each one if you wanted.

OOOHHH... an idea!

Hows about this then...

You open a deck of cards, force one on your spectator, and they stick it back in the deck. You then proceed to tip a half-size can of Alphabetti Spaghetti into your mouth, followed by some string. After swallowing, and a bit of 'fake' regurgitation, you pull out the string with the name of the card spelled out in spaghetti letters - still dripping in tomato ketchup!?!?!

Followed by, 'Thank you and Goodnight' as your closer?

I agree with the idea of suing J.Oliver anyway, I'm doing so on the grounds that he's not Nigella Lawson and that's unforgiveable.

It brings a whole new dimension to 'Close Up Magic', doesn't it?

Paul Pottasy did a wonderful version many years ago on the Paul Daniels show. There was nothing dark about it. All done with light humour. Popping salt on the blades now and again to add flavour

Actually, the thought of eating razors would certainly alleviate the old hangover nastiness of having a furry tongue, wouldn't it?

And I agree about the 'hurling spaghetti' post. I apologise.
I didn't realise you were adverse to tomatoes... heh heh
