Chaps, chapesses,

I've just noticed that TalkMagic has 6626 members while Magic Bunny has 6406.

Thats because TM does not smell like small lumpy poo and rabbit whizz 8)

Nice one guys! We beat them!

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

I wonder who all our lurkers are. I see several new joiners a day, but never a peep out of most of them. And where have people like Little Miss Erdnase and AJ gone?

Well I'm guessing Little Miss Erdnase went the way of all coppers who get too close to Mandrake's master plans...

(in reality I think I scared her off)

Still I think that TM and Bunny should both be proud of those kinda membership figures (even if most of them are hiding in the shadows)!

Lets not forget plenty of people enjoy both

Ofcourse all that really matters out of all the registered users is, who posts frequently. Considering that, the communities are both about the same.

:? Well, I've loved and been part of the Bunny since shortly after it started over 4 years ago. Sadly, some of the personalities over there have ruined it for me and a handful of others, which is one reason why we have so many Bunnies running over this way... they're also tired of the constant "games" and "arguments" certain folks insist on making happen.

I'm just glad I found this group, reminds me a good deal of the bunny hutch back in the good ole days.

personally i hate these threads... they achieve nothing other than p*ssing folks off.

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

Sorry.

I just noticed the number of members and thought it was worthy of note.

It's a bit harder for us newcomers, I'd say.

Who, here, am I going to give advice to? In the time that I explain how to do a self-worker, you lot would have stolen my watch, done 3 card tricks, a spongeball routine, and levitated.

Bar asking for advice, there's little that I can personally assist with, save for the occassional review (when funds are available).

I do enjoy the banter, here, though -- and especially the file sharing section. This is an excellent forum, and I've got little doubt that as I continue to grow, you'll hear more from me.

For now, though, it's best to keep my trap shut. Anything else would merely be on par with me performing an unpracticed trick -- who knows what secrets I'd blow, and the damage I could do.

JimSardonic...

Don't belittle yourself...

I've been involved with magic sine I was 4 (that was in 1963-4) and yet, I've either been reminded or introduced to things by guys in your shoes many a time e.g. you shouldn't be selling yourself so short.

A year or so just prior to 9/11 I had two "students"/friends that were more or less new to the business and like you, a bit nervous. Both of these people have sense composed several books and one has managed to take off like a wild-fire in his success; now standing as a fairly noted name in the world of Mentalism. Ironically it took the likes of Kenton Knepper, myself and I believe two or three others to kick him hard enough so as to get him to believe that he could do it and that he did have much more to offer than he'd ever thought.

The Moral of the Story is... don't make me come in there and drag you out of the closet

I like that. Bit like round where i live, the local kids would have your shoe laces wallet keys to your car and thats before you get two feet out the door.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.
