According to his wife the arrow pierced his stomach, not his heart... stomach and liver.... and the graceful clutz fell on the arrow... the blunted end no less!

Sorry, though the injury was serious many are still laughing over how clumsy John can be at times (even for a stuntman)... a few years ago he had one of his tiger's try to eat him and now he's screwed up doing the Impalment trick :? What the guy won't do for some press

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I got a paper cut from doing a One handed revolotion once. Hmmm so how many of us have suffred an injury from performing magic. Self inflicted or by accident by a spec??

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

My favorite story involves my old friend William Wizard from the San Jose, CA area. He'd sold a certain Mr. Copperfield a nice set of Rope cutting shears... well, the first time David used them he literally cut the end of his finger off instead of the rope... Wiz bought the shears back along with the bloodied rope, had them framed and signed by DC for his personal collection of junk

Aside from being pawed really good by a black leopard during a show in Miami and nearly falling to my death in Chicago I think the most frightening "accident" I had in magic was when one of the wires to a flash vanish bird cage snapped out and upon collapsing, sliced my arm a good three inches and rather deep... thought I was going to bleed to death on the spot... fortunately it didn't go nearly as deep as it would need to e.g. it missed the vital blood flow lines (viens)...

Accidents happen all the time in this business both on and off stage. I know Gay Blackstone has nearly been killed over a dozen times and she's just the magician's assistant... which is the most dangerous of jobs actually
