No guys, I am using a magnet. It just seems to stick. I actuall "broke" it trying to force it apart and had to stick it back together.

Its faulty. If its not too late, send it back. It shouldnt be THAT hard !

Bizarre. Sounds like you got bad one. Happens sometimes, I guess. If you like the trick I would get another one, it should definately work better than you are describing..

If you are having a lot of trouble seperating "old"
ones I'd try a light inside and out polish with brasso
as it slighty abrasive (thats wht it polishes so well)
It smooths off any slight surface rust inside and
any surface grease/c*** (not the best) outside
Sould sort you out fine

But I agree that the super stiff new one is faulty

A bit high priced tho 53euro ,what are you thinking is it worth to pay so much for a single effect like this?

I think it's worth it. It's a crowd pleaser particularly when you do it with a glass before spectators eyes.
There are many kinds of effects you can do with this coin, some are included with it.
As stated by previous posters, I find a shiny 1p one of the most effective methods of seperation, but since purchasing a PK ring, this is what I use all the time as it's quick, convneient and with a bit of misdirection can be done whilst stood in front of the spectators.

I have used Eddie coins for years and have many different versions, they are worth the price, so many uses and effects can be performed.

TIP: Use blu-tack to solve the little problem of stickiness.

I have the 10p/2p version and I got a real (normal) 10p stuck inside the 2p! It's at an angle poking out. Any ideas how to rescue it? Certainly drilling a hole into the side of the 10p would enable to lever it out but I don't have a vice and stuff.
