Yup, I've got an idea of how he does it. Unfortunately, this forum is not about exposure, so please read the rules.
If you are genuinely interested then may I suggest looking at a DVD called Sh4de by Daniel Garcia (here). It has a couple of routines on it that achieve very similar effects, and is very easy to learn and follow.

It should DEFINITELY be mandatory to read the rules before registration.

Dear First-time poster...

1. Read the forum rules
2. Don't ask of us that which we cannot divulge
3. If you want to learn magic, it's a progressive path... no shortcuts

And welcome to TalkMagic!

i know how he does it!

You start out with some coins then you buy the dvd that tells you how to do the trick. lastly you get a mod to move this thread to the SINBIN

Holy, harsh replies. If you had any common sense, you would know I wasnt asking you for a step by step instructional, the post by hairyfreak was great and I appreciate it.

No, if you had any common sense you would have asked where you could buy it and not said:

Does anyone have any idea how he does, ive watched it over and over, but dont know. He has a space between hands everytime the coins move, but then jst places his hand over 2, then one dissapears and is beside the other one. ????????

You see, asking 'Does anyone have any idea where I could learn this from' and not 'Does anyone have any idea how he does' would have been a better approach.

There have been quite a few posts recently asking how effects are done where the person has no intent on buying so when someone's first post is worded in such a way which DOES make it sound like they're looking for a freebie you can't be offended by the replies you get.

Anyways, a lesson learned I guess, on all sides .

Thats just what newcomers do wrongly. They first come to this forum, seeing the logo: TalkMagic - A great place for magicians to chat! they will start thinking: WOW! I must register for it, i can learn many things here. THen they sign up. Log in and start asking questions about how to do this how to do that. A big problem in this forum is that the admins should actually send a welcome message to the new comer, regardless of whether hes a newbie or a pro. Then, the admin needs to state down the rules of the forum, in which one of them shall be: No asking for tricks. Many new comers like me for an instance, made the same mistake. What i did was slightly different. I asked whether i could ask for tricks or trade tricks. Then harsh remarks and comforting remarks came in. Some telling me off and some telling me nicely. And suddenly, POP! It went straight to the SINBIN. I appreciate both kind of remarks but shouldnt there be a way that new comers know all the rules? I mean like would they bother to read the rules when they first step in? Almost all new comers make the same mistake. BEcause why? because they are not aware of the rules! I suggest the admin should at least send a welcome message to the new comers, and explain the rules and regs of the forum, making sure they dun make the same mistake as previous new comers.
Im doing this not for my sake and not to act hero. I just want the admin(s) to be aware of what a new comer goes through. A newcomer, just because is not aware of the rules, make a mistake and POP! the post went straight into the SINBIN.Im writing this message not to anger the admins or moderators but to give suggestions. If you think my comments are too personal then fine. I shall stop these "nonsense".

Good points, however in this instance I think it was more of an unclear request than an actual seeking of freebies.

all the more reason for what Davendithas said or perhapse the start page should go directly to the rules then click through for the headings.

as links from e-mails go direct most people won't be anoyed till they refresh the topics and I'm sure a cookie could handle a bypass or something. :?:

even if the horse can't or won't drink we should at least lead it to the trough.

well if new posters actually read the rules (which incidentally are the 2nd section on the board.. its near the top so folks might read it?) then they wouldnt have all this... the trouble is folks are too damn lazy to actually do anything but ask dumb questions about "how do i do this..... or.... is it ok if i tell everyone how this is done".

so rather than blame the mods or admin why not actually accept that the blame doesnt lie at our door but at the feet of the lazy folks who simply cant be arsed reading a few lines of text?

jst curious but when you buy a book do you actually read the thing or do you expect the author to come round to your house and read the book for you? of maybe you skip the first half of the book cos it looks kinda boring and just dive in near the end when all the good stuff happens? Im guessing the answer to both questions is no so why the hell should this be any different?

with the population getting thicker and more lasy maybey its time to put a hand on the reigns.
i agree its not the mods or admins fault and i agree you need atleast a few brain cells to do magic.
but if we don't want to be branded as eleitist by the masses we may need to dumb down a bit, how many of the general public read the safty leaflet before they start using there kettle or the flat pack instructions before they begin assembling.

we have to face facts the general public today can't or won't wait to try something before thinking about the safty aspects or reading the rules it wastes there time.
sorry to say were a dying bread.
