www.talkmagic.co.uk dropping offline?

Postby gunnarkr » Oct 12th, '06, 12:36

Hello all!

I have experianced twice in a few days, that Talkmagic has been unavailable. I got the message this morning: Safari can’t open the page “www.talkmagic.co.uk” because it can’t find the server “www.talkmagic.co.uk”. I tried other servers in the UK and they opened without any problems. Techical problems? :o

If it can't find the server and it's up for other people, the common factor is probably DNS. your ISP's nameserver server is probably being a little tardy in resolving the IP address, and it may have dropped out of your own machine's cache.

I tend to get 404 errors a couple of times a day from the site.

I doubt it, as I was able to access any other UK site, but reloading or restarting didn't do the trick for Talkmagic... (pun intended) :)
