Magnets....very strong magnets

Postby moodini » Oct 13th, '06, 13:15

Does anyone know where to get my hands on a small yet very strong magnet?? Ideally something that would be able to fit into the end of a TT but not in permanently so it can be ditched and the TT can be used otherwise?

I am not looking for magic supply shops, rather simply a point in the write direction......for example:

Hardware store, Craft shop, Audio shop, etc

Just about every possible size and shape of neodymium (rare earth) magnet here:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/MAGNETIC-LIFE
Will ship at reasonable cost to Canada too.

Look up Magtrix magnetic connectors. You can take the magnet out and it only measures 6mm by 5mm, but has a surface flux density of 3000 gauss. They're very small and VERY strong in other words.

Too, as I've mentioned before, the fabric and home crarft stores have an item known as a Magnetic Button that comes in various levels of strength... they aren't too large (not as small as a rare earth, but could work in the role you have suggested)... I use these items a good deal when it comes to some of my haunting material in that they aren't overly expensive and strong enough to make things happen as I need it to happen.

curiously strong magnets.

assortment of sizes. Not sure what you want to spend, but there are some very tiny ones if you wanted to use them in a TT.

Reminds me of a Myth Busters episode where Jamie used some ultra powerful magnets to climb up a AC vent.

You can find an assortment of cheap neodymium magnets here:

I ordered the variety pack the other day, and it's great! I would definately recommend the site. Their prices are nice and cheap too, and they have a huge selection of different sized magnets.
